The Guidelines of Attitudinal Healing can be useful not only in an AH support group but also in your everyday life. They help to remind us to be respectful towards others, that everyone is going through their own process, at their own rate, and that we do not need to judge, fix or offer advice to anyone.

The Group Guidelines serve as the foundation for an Attitudinal Healing support group. They are shared agreements that help create a safe, respectful, and trusting space—encouraging honest self-reflection, authentic expression, and meaningful connection.

In this video, Els and Paula talk about the purpose of the Guidelines in Attitudinal Healing groups. The foundation of AH support groups, the guidelines establish a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where people can share openly, listen deeply, and connect with compassion.
The guidelines reflect AH’s core philosophy: that love is the most powerful force for healing. By setting simple agreements—like confidentiality, no judgment, and seeing each person as whole—the guidelines create the conditions for honest self-awareness, authentic communication, and heartfelt connection.
Facilitating Attitudinal Healing is not about fixing or giving advice—it’s about holding space. Facilitators listen with openness, suspend judgment, and trust that each person carries their own answers. This approach is less about “doing” and more about being—living the principles of Attitudinal Healing by choosing love over fear, maintaining inner peace, and seeing others as whole. Drawing inspiration from A Course in Miracles, this video explores how presence, humility, and authenticity create the conditions for genuine healing.
